About Us

Handcrafted Living: Ethical Materials & Traceable Timber

Every piece in our furniture collection is individually handcrafted by master artisans using time-honored joinery and carving techniques. We believe sustainable design starts at the source: our pieces are built exclusively from sustainably managed hardwoods, reclaimed materials, and eco-friendly finishes, pairing uncompromising quality with respect for our planet.

Sustainable Sourcing & Tracked Supply Chains

Our timber sourcing is held to the highest environmental and ethical standards:

  • FSC®-Certified Sourcing: All new hardwoods used across our furniture lines are procured exclusively from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified supplier. This ensures harvest practices support responsible forestry, protect local biodiversity, and prevent deforestation.
  • Full Chain-of-Custody Tracking: We maintain complete end-to-end traceability across our wood supply chain, from certified forest management units directly through processing, seasoning, and crafting.
  • Traditional Kiln-Drying: Timber is carefully seasoned in traditional kilns to stabilize internal moisture, preventing warping and guaranteeing structural strength for decades of use.
  • Low-Impact Water-Based Finishes: We strictly finish our furniture with non-toxic, water-based paints, stains, and protective lacquers. These water-based finishes release minimal volatile organic compounds (VOCs), ensuring healthy indoor air quality for your home and a safer working environment for our craftspeople.

Our Timbers: Natural Beauty & Environmental Credentials

1. Acacia Wood

  • Environmental Profile: Acacia is an exceptionally fast-growing, resilient hardwood species that thrives without requiring chemical pesticides or excessive irrigation. Because it regenerates quickly, harvesting certified acacia puts minimal pressure on sensitive forest ecosystems.
  • Aesthetic & Character: Prized for its natural density and hardness, acacia features bold, contrasting grain patterns that range from warm amber to deep mahogany and olive undertones. Its natural oils give it inherent water resistance and durability, making it ideal for robust, lifetime pieces like dining tables, sideboards, and bed frames.

2. Mango Wood

  • Environmental Profile: Mango timber is a prime example of circular, sustainable material harvesting. It is primarily cut down as an agricultural byproduct when mature trees reach the end of their fruit-bearing lifespan (typically after 15 to 20 years). Utilizing this wood gives plantation farmers secondary revenue and ensures felled trees are repurposed into enduring furniture rather than burned as agricultural waste.
  • Aesthetic & Character: Mango wood is celebrated for its dense, kaleidoscopic grain and distinctive color shifts, featuring honeyed golden tones, subtle pink highlights, and natural grey or black spalting lines. It takes water-based stains and hand-waxing exceptionally well, lending a tactile, organic warmth to any room.

The Mark of Handcrafted Authenticity

Because every item is shaped, carved, and finished by hand from natural, solid timber, no two pieces are ever identical. Unlike mass-produced industrial furniture, our pieces celebrate the individual character of living wood:

  • Variant Grain & Tone: Organic shifts in color, deep grain rivers, soft timber knots, and natural mineral highlights.
  • Seasoning Checks: Fine, micro-surface cracks that occur naturally as solid wood breathes and adjusts to ambient humidity, which are neatly stabilized during crafting for a smooth finish.
  • Artisan Detailing: Subtle variations in hand-carved motifs, joinery lines, and deliberate hand-distressing designed to give each piece an authentic, timeless heirloom feel.

These natural signatures are not defects—they are the hallmarks of genuine timber and authentic hand craftsmanship, ensuring your piece is a one-of-a-kind statement for your home
